To ensure the appropriate use and protection of private information, the Japan GAP Foundation (JGF) observes the rules set forth in this policy in addition to complying with related laws and regulations.

To ensure the appropriate use and protection of private information, the Japan GAP Foundation (JGF) observes the rules set forth in this policy in addition to complying with related laws and regulations.

Purpose of use of private information

The JGF uses the private information it handles for the following purposes.

  1. To send emails, facsimiles, or postal items to people who desire to obtain information for spreading and developing Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and establishing a safe, sustainable agricultural system.
  2. To answer questions

  3. For seminar reservation procedures

  4. To do administrative tasks necessary for managing members
  5. To analyze trends among members and reference the analyses when reviewing the operating policies of the JGF

Provision of private information to third parties

JGF will not provide private personal information to a third party without obtaining prior consent from the person. However, the JGF may provide the registered information of a trainer to a training institute authorized by the JGF to register the trainer for a training course authorized by the JGF.

Safe management

The JGF takes appropriate measures to ensure the safe management of private information, to prevent loss, alteration, or leakage of the information, or similar incidents.

Procedures for disclosure requests, etc.

The JGF acts appropriately and promptly regarding disclosure requests as stipulated by law.
