between ASIAGAP and JGAP
Launched in 2005, JGAP is a standard GAP in
Japan already supported by many. Its contents are sufficient for agricultural
producers in Japan.
ASIAGAP is an international standard
approved by GFSI, with GFSI requirements added to the content of JGAP. We aim
to position and operate it as a common GAP platform for Asia.
GFSI, or the Global Food Safety Initiative, is a non-profit organization composed of food-related enterprises and organizations that operate globally. It aims to continuously improve food safety management systems to ensure the building of trust and deliver safe food to consumers worldwide. One of its major activities is to approve of food safety certification programs.
